Full Bio
Dr. Michael Wiles was born and raised in the small town of Morton, Illinois, the pumpkin capital of the world. Growing up in the Midwest has taught him honest forthright values and ethics. At 14, he moved to Ohio where he attended high school in Toledo and college at THE Ohio State University, following in his father's footsteps. When he sent in his transcripts to attend college, his parents decided to move to Florida, but have since moved back to Vonore, TN to be closer to family.
After college, he decided to attend Des Moines University in Iowa because it reminded him of his childhood in Illinois. There he took classes among other future podiatrists and doctors of osteopathic medicine or “DO” physicians. After graduating medical school, he completed his surgical residency in Grand Blanc, MI, where he was further trained in surgery by 20+ podiatrists and three orthopedic surgeons who specialized in foot and ankle surgery.
When he finished his training and took a mid-winter fishing trip to Helen, Ga he found the beautiful weather an asset. It was then he decided to practice his craft somewhere between Nashville and Atlanta – and this is how he found Chattanooga, TN! After a few years of practice, he met a woman that captured his heart! Samantha, his future wife, worked in a local hospital as a scrub technician, assisting surgeons in the operating room. After dating for over a year, they married in 2011. He became an instant step-father of two wonderful step children Jared and Chelsea. They were both very accepting and treated him with respect and love. He has recently become a step-grandfather in August of 2019 to a healthy and beautiful baby girl named Aubrey.
Professionally, he worked at Chattanooga Podiatry Center from 2006 until 2009. He joined a small group called Advanced Foot Care Centers in 2010. In 2015 they were bought out by a large conglomerate group named Village Podiatry Centers where he continued to work until 2019. In July of 2019, Dr. Wiles decided to pursue a lifelong dream to open his own practice. With his wife's 19 years of hospital knowledge, and Dr. Wiles' 13+ years of treating patients, and their combined surgical training, they have teamed up to create the most efficient podiatric experience.
